In a quest to minimize the carbon footprint, Valdoro Mountain Lodge has committed to various environmentally friendly programs. The Housekeeping Department uses biodegradable, non-toxic cleaning products that are Green Seal Certified – keeping the Lodge naturally clean! Guest rooms are also stocked with natural, biodegradable dishwashing and laundry soap.
Valdoro uses Colorado’s natural air conditioning by asking guest to open windows and patio doors plus use the ceiling fan to keep the rooms cool during the summer months. Other sustainable programs include switching all light bulbs from florescent to CFL energy saving bulbs, installing timers in all offices plus changing all dishwashers to newer energy efficient models. Valdoro makes it easy for both guests and staff to recycle by having accessible bins throughout the building. Valdoro makes every effort to help keep this a sustainable earth for all generations to come.
