Spring Break & Spring Fever:
(March until April 20th ski area closing day)
This multi-faceted, interactive event includes entertainment, family fun and competitions. The 6 weeks of fun includes: Live Concerts, Beer Festival, St Patrick's Day celebration, April Fool's Day with music and parade, Comedy Nights, dining specials starting April 1st, Hockey Classic and the Imperial Challenge, which is a grueling three-stage race of biking, and hiking to the top of the Imperial Bowl, and skiing or riding to the finish plus much more fun!
(June 14 - 15, 2014) This annual festival captures the rich gold mining history of Breckenridge with gun fights, outhouse races, historical tours and much more.
Breckenridge Music Festival:
(mid-June - August)
The Breckenridge Music Festival presents a range of experiences from classical symphonic and intimate chamber to jazz, blues and rock-n-roll. This annual festival brings the best in musical programs, both classical and modern, available anywhere in the country. This series runs all summer from mid June to the end of August. All concerts are held at the Riverwalk Center in the heart of Breckenridge.
4th of July Festivities:
Celebrate Independence Day with explosive entertainment and family fun throughout the long weekend! Activities include an Art festival and a grand celebration at the Arts District of Breckenridge. Spend the 4th of July with endless activities - "Firecracker 50" bike race which starts the parade down Main Street followed by kids games and music throughout town. End the night with the Repertory Orchestra as they perform a free patriotic concert at the Riverwalk Center and fireworks.
Pro Cycling Challenge:
Dates to be determined for 2014. Hundreds of the top cycalist in the world compete in a week-long race throughout Colorado.
Labor Day Festivities:
This is a great weekend to experience Breckenridge before summer ends. Great Divide Arts and Crafts Festival fair, the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center Crest Mountain Marathon, Summit Foundation's Rubber Duck Race and sidewalk sale days are just a few events to enjoy.
(September 12-14, 2014)
Grab your stein, throw in your lederhosen, and get ready for some German fun during Breckenridge's annual Oktoberfest celebration! One of the largest Oktoberfest events in the U.S. is on Breckenridge Main Street to commemorate a time-honored tradition of German heritage. This event has become a mainstay and features Oompah music, Bavarian foods, and kid's activities. This same weekend is the annual Ski Swap that features bargains on ski and winter gear at the Riverwalk Center.
Breckenridge Film Festival:
(September 18-21, 2014) This four-day event features independent films, receptions, educational programs, children's films and guest speakers. Films are shown in various locations around Summit County.
Victorian Winter Wonderland:
(First week in December, 2014)
Kick off the holiday season with the Victorian festival including mountain competitions, celebrations, craft workshops, Running with the Santas, shopping and more. Breckenridge celebrates it's annual Lighting of Breckenridge which brings together guests and locals every year to rejoice in the true holiday spirit.
Winter Dew Tour:
(Dec 12-15, 2013)
The world's premier skiers and snowboarders compete in slope style and super pipe events. Other activities include concerts and events throughout town.
(January 5-11, 2014)
Pay homage to the Norse God of Snow with the 50th anniversary of Ullr Fest. Enjoy parades, contests, bar series and much more over this week long event.
International Snow Sculpture Championships:
(January 21-25, 2014)
Watch as 20-ton blocks of snow are transformed into beautiful but fleeting works of art by teams from around the globe. Sculptures remain up for another week (weather permitting).
Mardi Gras & Fat Tuesday:
(February 9-12, 2014) Celebrate Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday Mountain-style! Feb 9th is the Mardi Gras Ball. Fat Tuesday (Feb 12) break out the beads and masks for the annual zany parade down Main Street.
